This weekend has been one of those that you wish would go on forever.
The sun has been out in force and shining in the most glorious fashion, my parents have been visiting so the family has been together again for the first time since Christmas and we’ve spent the last three days out of the hustle and bustle of London.
The days went by in a flurry of eating, drinking, laughing and soaking up the sunshine and there were points, walking home from meals out while the air was still wonderfully warm at 10pm or sauntering down the canal on a Sunday morning watching the blue skies reflect against the water, where we almost forgot we were in Britain and fell into full on holiday mode. (Great at the time, not so great today when I’ve returned to a full inbox, a slightly neglected blog and a long to-do list)
The quaint little streets and footpaths of leafy Guilford were our haunts for the most part although we did manage to fit in a little seaside trip to Bognor Regis in on the Saturday for obligatory ice cream, fish and chips and paddling fun. You know how I like to be beside the seaside!
Hope you lovely lot had a great sunshine filled weekend, here’s to many more this summer!
