Today was operation sort the house out after our weekend of partying, although I couldn't quite bring myself to bring all the decorations down so we've still got our gorgeous balloon arch and a few pinwheels brightening up the living room (might just leave them up until the next celebration)!

Evie is FOUR!! 🎉🥳🥳✨🎂

Wow! What a weekend! When I first realised that Evie would have a lockdown birthday I felt so upset for her. We'd always imagined giving her a 'proper' party this year and inviting all her friends and family, so the thought of it just being the three of us AGAIN made me so sad. BUT in true lockdown style we decided to just go ALL OUT and make it as special as we could for her and it turned out to be the best weekend we could have hoped for!
.
On Saturday we had presents and balloons, doorstep visits from friends and calls from family. Cake for breakfast, a party picnic in the sunshine, party games galore and more outfit changes for Evie than I could keep up with. Then on Sunday we gave our little Supergirl a superhero party to remember - we set up an obstacle course in the garden, dressed up and ate even more cake. So happy that the sun shone for our girl and the moment when she ran to give us a big hug and say 'thank you for listening to all the things I wanted, it's the best birthday ever' will be one I never forget!

So happy birthday to the girl who has renamed herself 'farty burper actress' 🤣- you are the brightest light in our life and make us laugh every day. I'm on full party planning mode for this weekend and trying to make our little lockdown celebration the best it can be for our soon to be 4 year old! I'm not sure who is more excited tbh! 🥳🥳

How is everyone feeling after the latest Bojo announcement? I always seem to need a few days to digest it all - we've got so used to this weird kind of life now that any change is a lot to contemplate. I'm certainly looking forward to some garden BBQs with friends soon but really the only thing I wanted to know was when I could travel to Scotland to see my folks and there's still no word on that so... We'll just carry on. Sending love to anyone feeling a bit discombobulated (love that word) since Monday. ♥️

Another weekend upon us, what is everyone up to? I need some inspiration! I actually find the weekends harder than the weekdays as we've usually exhausted all our activities and the two days just stretch out in front of us 😱 what else is there to do?? 🤷

Anyway I just paid for my shopping in Tesco, and waltzed off pushing my trolley, clutching my receipt... But left my bag of shopping sitting at the checkout 🙈😭. Didn't even realise until I was half way through the car park!! 🤣 Safe to say my brain has checked out for the week! 😭😯🤦 #fridayflowers #fridayfeeling #tgif
