Just out of interest are you drawn to dark and moody photographs or light and bright? I've always naturally wanted to shoot things nice and light as that's the aesthetic I love, but thanks to what I've learned on the photography course I'm doing , I'm enjoying experimenting with darker shots too!

Totally living for the weekends again now that life has got so busy. This week was a full on week of school settling in sessions for Evie and while we are so proud of how well she did, it's been super emotionally draining. Did anyone else feel this when their little started school? I'm not great with change at the best of times but this feels like such a huge step. Guaranteed I'll be the mum in tears at the gate on Sep 1st 😭😭.

I'm becoming a bit of a sporadic poster on here and I think I'm ok with it...
.
This last year has made me fall out of love with a lot of aspects of social media and due to personal circumstances, lately I'm finding Instagram quite a difficult place to be. But I still love photography and being creative, I love the inspiration and I love having somewhere to share ideas and images, inspire and create a personal portfolio of sorts, so I return for that reason. I do find that I simply post and run a lot at the moment though in fear of unwittingly consuming too much of the stuff I'm trying to avoid, so here's a little apology for not being so good at engaging and chatting and replying and commenting back. Hopefully in time I'll make my way back.

For now though, I'm happy having weekends without my phone, soaking up real life with my best people and working behind the scenes on my own little business, and trying not to worry too much about numbers and likes and plummeting engagement on here (easier said than done sometimes though isn't it?)!

Evie doesn't go to pre school on a Friday so it always feels like the start of the weekend for us. I feel like I've hardly seen her this week as it's been so busy so I'm excited to spend some time with my little - laugh a minute - firecracker!
